Virginia A. Schedler
Virginia Schedler, of Cedarburg, passed away unexpectedly in the morning hours of Monday, February 20, 2012 at St. Mary's Columbia Hospital in Mequon surrounded by her loving family. She was 76 years young. Virginia was born in Milwaukee on March 24, 1935, daughter of Ervin and Irene Dreblow. She grew up in the Thiensville area, and graduated from Shorewood High School. On June 30, 1956 she married Robert Schedler at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Thiensville. The couple made their home in the Cedarburg area and raised their family. Virginia was a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church. She was known as the neighborhood "Nana", and her house was like Grand Central Station where all the kids played. Virginia worked as a hair dresser and also enjoyed sewing and gardening. She attended many of her grandchildren's events. She was the biggest fan of her grandchildren's accomplishments. Virginia is survived by her husband Bob of Cedarburg, four children; Lauren Schedler of Grafton, Julianne (Richard) Schmig of Thiensville, Christine Murray of Grafton and Scott (Darci) Schedler of Cedarburg. She is further survived by nine grandchildren; Nicholas, Shannan, Benjamin (Gina), Jonathan, Alexander, Valerie, Samantha, Eric and Collin, two great-grandchildren; Christian and Kylie, one sister Janet (Daniel) Cottrell of Knowlton, WI, one sister-in-law Jean Markowski of Denver, CO, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 24th at 3:30 PM at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church North, 1375 Covered Bridge Road, Cedarburg, with Father Dan Janasik officiating. A time of gathering will be held at the CHURCH on Friday, February 24th from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church.
