June 3, 1927 - March 14, 2012

Leonard Raleigh, age 84, of Franklin, OH; died Wednesday March 14, 2012 at his residence. Leonard was born in Wolfcoal, KY on June 3, 1927 to Elliott and Elizabeth (Turner) Raleigh. He graduated from Breathitt County High School and from Lees College in Jackson, he served in U.S. Army in Germany, he retired from Appleton Paper Company following 38 years of service. Leonard was an active member of the Mission Lane Baptist Church in Franklin for many years, was an avid fisherman and UK fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew Leonard Turner. Leonard is survived by his wife 43 years Lois Jean (McQueen) Raleigh; 3 sisters Beulah Turner, Georgia Turner, and Blanche Spicer and her husband Robert all of Franklin; 4 nieces Janet Hayes, Judy Mills, Debbie Banks, and Gail Reiger; 2 nephews Fred Turner and Michael Spicer; and other great nieces and nephews. Funeral services are Monday March 19, 2012 at 1pm at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. 2nd St Franklin, OH with Rev. David Sargent. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery with full military honors.
