Rebecca Rae Logan, the daughter of Clyde Logan and Rose (Hall) Logan, was born at Lincoln, Nebraska on August 30, 1953. At age four, Becky was struck by a mail truck, which resulted in serious loss of hearing and speech and mental function. She lived in Lincoln, Omaha, and Beatrice, Nebraska and Wichita, Kansas. She attended the Nebraska School for the Deaf, the Institute of Logopedics, the Martin Luther Home and the Mosaic Center. Among the many places she worked were the Mosaic's sheltered workshop, American Tool Co., the Beatrice Community Hospital, Christ Community Church, Carriage Motors, and Beatrice Fairgrounds. Rebecca helped teach sign language and attended the Mosaic Chapel.
Becky loved her cat Meme, collecting jewelry, and the triplets. She adored her family and spoke often of the children. Becky loved shopping and giving gifts to those she loved. She will be greatly missed by her family and by those who loved and cared for her at Mosaic and Hospice.
Becky died at the Mosaic Center in Beatrice, Nebraska on March 11, 2006 at the age of 52 years, 7 months, and 27 days. She was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Rose Logan and sister Martha Logan. Becky is survived by her sisters and brothers, Carl and his wife LaVay Logan of Lincoln, NE, Nancy and her husband Jack Fesler of Colon, NE, Irene Luick and husband Tom, Kathy Schafer and husband Mark, and Jimmy Logan all of Lincoln, Sarah Barry and husband Bill of Loup City, NE and half-brother Lawrence Hall and wife Eva of Hastings, Iowa.
