"We extend our condolence for your loss. I prefer to remember the good times, like the Thanksiving Day tradition. Spending the day in Antigo, the great meal Barb prepared for so many people, sitting by the fireplace just visiting, all the kids running around. Great times! I also remember the picture of Julie on the cover of Knight Life, I believe, when she was named Homecoming Queen at St Norbert College. Mom standing by her side with the biggest smile revealing the great pride she had for her daughter. She did a great job raising her family, I'm sure she was proud of each of you. We will remember Barb and all of you in our prayers. "

Toni LaHam Anfinsen wrote on Apr 17, 2012:

"Dear Julie, Jeff, Brian, and David, I met your Mom at St. Mary's Springs Academy when we were fourteen. The first week she came up to me after one of our classes and said, I want to be your friend, and we were friends from that day on. We have not been together for several years, but Barbara was and is special to me. Even as I write this I can hear her saying, "Now, Toni..." as she was about to give me some advice. Though I rarely took her advice I loved to hear her give it because I knew it was coming from a place of deep affection. We were blessed in being able to share and support each other in many high and low times in our lives and our love for one another never wavered. I look forward to being with Barbara again in God's kingdom. Barbara loved her children and grandchildren. God bless each of you in your time of grief. "

""Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house there are many mansions: If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."
