Laura Ann Russell
WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa--Laura Ann Russell, 84, of rural Gladstone, Illinois, died on Sunday, April 22, 2012, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2012, at Banks & Beals Funeral Home, 301 South Mary Street, Stronghurst, Illinois, 61480. Burial will take place in Carman Cemetery, Carman, Illinois.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2012, at the funeral home where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
Laura was born on January 23, 1928, in Burlington, the daughter of Carl Albert and Pauline Francis Svozal Krasuski. In 1946, she married Jack Franklin Dougherty. They later divorced. On July 2, 1971, she married Albert Lea "Pee Wee" Russell in Lomax, Illinois.
Mrs. Russell lived in Burlington for many years, moving to the Gladstone area in 1977. She had been employed at Sylvania, and later worked for IRC for twenty five years.
Survivors include her husband, Albert Russell, Gladstone, Illinois; two daughters, Pam Moreno and husband, Robert, and Susan Keys and husband, Greg; two sons, Jack Dougherty and wife, Sue, and David Dougherty and wife, Ellen; one step-daughter, Karen Mynatt and husband, Larry; one step-son, Dale Russell and wife, Dixie; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Albert Krasuski and wife, Ellen and Howard Krasuski and wife, Dorothy.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Carl Albert Krasuski Jr.
