"Grandpa, it's your grandson Jason. I miss you so much. It's almost 3 years you passed from this world, and it still doesn't seem true. Mom, dad and I just came back from your house. We saw grandma and Rick. We went to the smokehouse for christmas dinner. We all miss you so so much. I hope I can be half the man that you were. You were so good to me. I remember swimming with you, you loved the water, and you would play games like "Cucomonga, San Francisco", and other cities than you would throw me. You would take me to mini golf, you did so much for me. You cared for me and you loved me. You and Grandma were the best grandparents. I miss that love. Your light shone bright, your love was warm. I remember you liked getting a Coke with a piece of fresh lemon. You sacrificed many luxuries so that you could give to your kids and grandkids. A lot of times I got in trouble and you were always willing to help me out, as long as I learned a lesson, and you gave me the best advice. "Play the cards you were dealt and do the best you can" When I was a kid, you and grandma would drive the camaro up to Vegas for christmas and it was packed with presents. I miss you so much. Thank you for being in my life as long as you were. You are inspiring and a role model. Grandma misses you so much. She is having some troubles but she is still here with us, loving us. She has a caretaker in the home who is very very good to her. I wish you had that opportunity instead of going to the hospitals and homes. I could just go on and on, I love you. I will keep you updated on things here. You are always in my heart. I will play some Harry James for you, I know you like that trumpet. You loved to dance. You were a cool guy. An amazing guy. Talk to you soon. Love Jason"

"First of all, though we are no longer close and our relations are strained, my thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family. I loved Jerry Labgold. He was a great, great person, a lot of fun! He was invigorating to be around and his presence alone was infectious, you wanted to be around him, I wanted to be around him. I enjoyed hanging out with him especially the Motocross races. My greatest memory of Jerry was that next to my father he was the greatest dad I have ever met. When I flew from a film shoot in Chicago to Colorado to see his son Rick Race Motocross at a vintage event in Steamboat I thought he was going to Crap in his pants. I cannot forget that moment. He made me feel like family. I will never forget that wonderful Smile of his, that energy of his, the love of life he had. A best friend to his son Rick. You could not want a better dad or friend, he was all of that. He was the best in my little world! Godspeed Jerry."
