"Dear Ruthann, it seems like just a couple of weeks ago that you and JJ stopped at my place with the RV and he did the steaks for us. I am glad that we had that short time together so that I got to know JJ a little better. It is too bad that time slips by and we do things like this too seldom.
I do remember that you have the walnut trees that he planted. They should last for years so he has those left as a memorial that will last a long time.
You have my sincere sympathy and my prayers are with you all. "

"I'm missing you like crazy dad. I just wrote a huge memorial to you, but I think I will save it for just you and I. I love you so much and I hope you're at peace. Also, I think you'd like to know how many people keep telling me how handsome they think you are. I think you'd like that. I'm missing your dimples already. "
