Donald A. Amdahl
May 26, 1953 - May 15, 2012

Madison -Donald A. Amdahl, age 58, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Badger Prairie Health Care Center in Verona. He was born on May 26, 1953 in Madison, the son of Alvin P. and Rita C. (Laufenberg) Amdahl. Don was a pensive, peaceful, quiet soul. He loved to play pool. He beat the known "Jerry Bryseff" and was pleased with that accomplishment. Don also loved to play pool with his dad. The game of chess he enjoyed and became quite good at it.

Don is survived by his mother, Rita C. Amdahl and stepmother, Caroline D. Currie Amdahl; a sister, Karen G. Lippitt and a brother, Ronald L. Amdahl. He was an uncle to Rebecca A. (David) Cockrum, Bonnie L. (Kevin) Tuttle, Roger G. (Sarah) Lippitt Jr. and David B. (Jenni) Lippitt. Surviving also are great nieces, Evie Cockrum, Cara Cockrum, Ellie Tuttle; great nephews, Leo Tuttle and Ben Lippitt, with another little blessing to arrive in October.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin P. Amdahl and a brother-in-law, Roger G. Lippitt Sr.

Funeral services will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Harold Zimmick officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. There will be a luncheon after the service. Burial will be at St. John' Cemetery in Waunakee on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 1:00 p.m.
