"As one of Everett's caregivers at Valley Vue I love reading all the wonderful things about him that everyone has shared here. No matter what kind of day he was having he always had this cute little wink and smile for me as I greeted him. One day he was kind of bored so I got out this wooden game of tic tac toe. I asked him if he wanted to play, he said "Sure". Without hesitation I handed him the O's and I was X's. I was fully prepared to "let him win" so he could feel a sense of accomplishment! However to my surprise he "BEAT" me fair and square! We had some long talks about fishing and I am pretty sure I'll be able to put all the things he told me to use this summer and catch a "Walleye". Everett it was a privledge to be able to care for you. Thank you for all the laughs, tears, and wonderful memories you have given to me. You will be truly missed! My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this time ."

"Everett was one of my favorite customers when I drove for Stockberger, hauling fuel to him. Just a great upbeat guy. I've thought of him often, over the years. My condolences to you all.

"Growing up across the street from the Thompsons provides me all kinds of wonderful recollections of Everett. He would set up the campter in the south yard...and Cheryl, Michelle and I had so much fun "camping out". I remember watching him walk up to the bus barn early in the morning to rev up Bus #4 and head out to pick up kids for school. He had a beautiful garden. Everett and Helen always made the parade of kids who were in and out of the Thompson house feel welcome. No memory of Everett would be complete without recalling the pack of Dentyne gum that was delivered with every fuel purchase. I hope that the memories of your father, brother, uncle and friend will comfort you, as we have all lost a very special man."

"I have many graeat memories of Everett (town parent ). Spending much of my young child hood with Everett and Helen. I even had my own draw for clothes. All the caomping and fishing trips. There many fish suppers and games of cards. Even going a delievery of a Winebago camp with him. He drive me on the bus and the of course the gum. There is not enough that I can say about Everett and Helen and the part they played in my life.

"Everett was a nice man. I think he was the best bus driver our kids ever had. They thought he was nice too. They would tell how when he would stop the bus for Kay Logemann and go out and get her and walk her into and out of the bus. They thought that was pretty special. Our sympathy to all of the Thompson family. He was a very nice man. John & Connie Pedersen

"So many wonderful memories. So many times spent in his home with his lovely wife Helen. So much laughter. Seeing him driving the school bus each day and seeing him deliver fuel to our home and waiting patiently for the gum to come out!!!"
