"Dearest Carol, I am so sad to hear of Millie's passing. You and your family have our deepest sympathy. I have so many wonderful memories of my childhood at your farm. Your Mom and Dad were like another set of parents for me. Your Mom was always calm and welcoming, and put up with all of our antics, even when we let the pet parakeet fly into the dishwater. Millie was such a wonderful friend and card playing companion to Mom, and I really appreciate that. We will miss her terribly. Love, Phyllis (and family)"
