Arvin Dale Fagg, Sr., age 75 of Colfax, died Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Skiff Medical Center in Newton. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Colfax, with burial following at the Colfax Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the church. Memorials may be directed to the First Baptist Church and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.
The son of Fred W. and Veda (Funkhouser) Fagg, Arvin was born on April 1, 1937 in Terra Haute, Indiana. On September 26, 1975, he was united in marriage to Bonnie Jean Bell at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Arvin drove trucks for a living and retired in 1999. He was also a member of the Four Square Church.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife Bonnie of Colfax; children, Cherie Lynn (Kenny) Garnett, Dale (Denise) Fagg, Jim (Shannon) Woodyard, and Tim (Christie) Woodyard; 11 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and his mother, Veda. Preceding him in death were his father, Fred; brother, Ronald and a granddaughter, Shea Lynn Woodyard.
