Sullivan , William (Bill) 92 of Dania, Florida, passed away on July 26, 2012, at Broward General Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Bill was born in Gas City, Indiana, on May 4, 1920, the son of Claude and Myra (Fuller) Sullivan. He was a longtime resident of Dania Beach and graduated from Dania High School. Bill served in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1946. He married Judith Geraldine Rodwell, on June 12, 1943. Bill retired from Dant and Russell in 1982. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially the ocean, and remained active through out his life. He was an active leader and choir member at Dania United Methodist Church for over 60 years Bill was a faithful supported of the Florida United Methodist Children's Home, the Florida United Methodist Youth Camp, and the Salvation Army. He was, most of all, a kind and loving gentleman.
Mr. Sullivan was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Judith Rodwell, and brother, James Sullivan. He lived his last years in Davie with his wife, Anna Lou. He is survived by one sister, Betty Hartman, a son, Richard (Paula) Sullivan of Houston, Texas; daughter, Patricia (Douglas) Williams of Hollywood, FL; son, Timothy (Donna) Sullivan of Crawfordville, FL; and son, Daniel (Kathryn) Sullivan of Parkland, FL; eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. at Davie United Methodist Church. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Bill may be made to Florida United Methodist Children's Home, 51 Children's Way, Enterprise, FL, 32725.
