"Was great to play basketball with him at White Lake High. He was a very caring person.... I had fond memories when he picked me up and went to see Raymod Straley at Great Lakes Naval Hospital. How many people do you know who would travel over 200 miles to see a wounded friend?"

David Loucks wrote on Aug 29, 2012:

"There are so many happy memories with Ray. The memories that with most be remembered by me would be the energy that filled him when he would come over to see his great grandchildren Lili, and memphis. No matter how he was feeling he summoned the strength to live, laugh, and love them. And darn it if something was broke sure as the sun shines he had something somewhere that could be used to fix, or replace what was broken. I'll miss our talks about the Badgers, brewers, and packers. "
