Bertram"Bert" Wood, 86, passed away on August 25, 2012. He was born December 4, 1925 in Birmingham, England to Gladys and Charles Wood. He was a member of the British Royal Military Police, spending time in Germany during World War II. He emigrated to the United States in 1950, residing in New Jersey. He is predeceased by his wife, Rose Marie "Ree" MacKenzie. Bert was a Master Mason and retired electrician for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 728 out of Fort Lauderdale. Bert is survived by his daughter- Cindy Rice (Doug), granddaughter- Heather Rice, niece- Rosemary Novak (Jim), great nephew- Andrew Novak, nephew- Peter Hofener (Jan) and extended family in England. He was an avid Florida Marlins and Miami Dolphins fan, and will be missed by many. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made to the Humane Society of Broward County.
