In loving memory of

Ruth Wiric
November 12, 1911 - October 5, 2012

Sun Prairie/Pardeeville - Ruth Wiric, age 100, late in the afternoon on Friday, October 5, 2012, God had decided that heaven was ready for Ruth Wiric and he welcomed her with open arms. She was born on November 12, 1911, the daughter of John and Sophia (Marks) Hoppman. Ruth was united in marriage on May 27, 1939 to John "Jack" Wiric, who preceded her in death on May 20, 1991.
Ruth was employed at the 3-F Laundry in Madison for approximately one year, until 1935 when she started working for the Wisconsin Porcelain Company in Sun Prairie. She was employed there for 39 years until her retirement on April 1, 1974. For 17 years, Ruth and Jack enjoyed their cottage in Pardeeville, WI, where they fished, entertained guests and taught many friends and relatives how to water ski.
Ruth was a member of Hope Lutheran Church her entire life. She dedicated many hours to quilting, being a greeter on Sunday mornings, Communion Care and helping with the annual garage sales and bazaars. During the holidays, she took great joy in baking dozens of cookies and paying a visit to many of her friends and relatives who were shut-ins or residents of nursing homes with one of her special "care packages". She will always be remembered as a person who did things for others.
Ruth is survived by two special nieces; Kristi (Roger) Fehrman of Pardeeville and Ruth (John) Hoppman of Madison, several nieces, nephews and their families and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at HOPE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3702 County Road AB, Cottage Grove on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 11 am with Pastor Chris Lee-Thompson officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:30 am until the time of services. Burial will be held at Hope Cottage Grove Cemetery, Cottage Grove, WI.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Remington House for the compassionate care they provided.

"Those who went before her will again enjoy her sense of humor and those she left behind will greatly miss it!"
