IOWA CITY, Iowa--Theresa Elizabeth Jackson, 43, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 5, 2012, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 2012, at the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Muscatine. Burial will take place in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Following the interment there will be a repast at the Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2012, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Theresa.

Theresa was born on February 12, 1969, in Muscatine, the daughter of Richard and Annabell Williams Jackson.

Theresa owned and operated World of Style in Muscatine. She attended the Hillcrest Baptist Church and was a member of the Jewish Association and the Christopher Reeves Spinal Cord Association.

Theresa has traveled abroad, and enjoyed going to the casino and internet space, but most of all, she dearly loved to spend time with her family.

Theresa will be deeply missed by her three children, Jamar Jackson of Muscatine, Hiram Serrano Jr. of Hills, and Estevan Jackson of Iowa City; five grandchildren, Jamar Jr, Shaniya, Ka'maiyah, Bree and Sophia Miguelina Serrano; her mother, Annabell Luth of Davenport; her father, Richard Jackson of Markham, Illinois; her siblings, Ricky McKinney of East St. Louis, Lloyd Shoppa Jr. of Davenport, Angela Jackson of Hawaii, and Mary Anders and husband, James, of Rock Island, Illinois; special nephews, Thaddeous and Mark Jackson; special niece, Mariah Shoppa; as well as a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Garridge Jackson and Lucious Williams Sr., an uncle, Talmadge Jackson; one aunt, Madie and her husband, Henry Frank Sr.; one granddaughter, Aliah Jenae Jackson; and her mother-in-law, Miguelina Morales-Serrano.
