In loving memory of

Elizabeth Tennant
October 2, 1937 - October 26, 2012

Elizabeth M. Tennant of Green Bay passed away on October 26, 2012 from complications due to breast cancer metastatic to her liver. She was born on October 2, 1937 in Winona, MN to the late Clarence and Elene Jasmer, the second of four children. She grew up in Winona, MN and moved to Green Bay, WI her senior year in high school. She graduated from West High School. She went onto nursing school in Milwaukee, WI and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She married her ex-husband, the late John Tennant, and raised five children. Beth was a bright, multi-talented woman, who had a strong, Christian belief and many interests. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, had a green thumb and loved gardening. She was a prolific artist, who knit, crocheted, and sewed clothes, some of which she sold in shops in Madison, WI and New York, NY. She also played piano and organ and was a skilled cook.

She instilled wonderful moral values and beliefs in her children, which helped shape them and have had an endless impact on their daily lives. She was an exceptionally caring and compassionate person, who was always willing to help others. Beth's loved ones had hoped that her time on this earth would last longer, but her strong faith prepared her for her journey home to be with the Lord. Her last days were cherished by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings plus nieces and nephews. She is now in a better resting place, and her family and friends feel that the Lord blessed them with her presence and guidance in their lives.

Her parents, Clarence and Elene Jasmer, preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Tim (Judy) Tennant, Rio Rancho, NM, Renee Tennant, Monona, WI, Michelle Tennant, Cottage Grove, WI, Sherri Tennant, New York, NY and Greg Tennant, Wausau, WI. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Wes (Kathy) Tennant, De Pere, WI, Kristen Tennant, Green Bay, WI, Dosty Everts, Milwaukee, WI, Andrew Everts, Cottage Grove, WI and Elene Everts, Cottage Grove, WI plus two great grand children, Brayden and Gavin Tennant, De Pere, WI. Finally, Beth is survived by her sister Virginia Anderson, Rochester, MN, and brothers Charlie Jasmer, Green Bay, WI and John (Renee) Jasmer, Green Bay, WI in addition to seven nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Nicolet Memorial Gardens, 2270 Bay Settlement Road, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Services will take place with Rev. Curtis De Coste officiating. Burial will take place immediately following funeral services.

"Liz was a longtime neighbor at my condo building. She was a fellow nurse and I enjoyed being able to converse with her on that level. She was soft-spoken and pleasant to be around. I will miss seeing her out tending to her flowers; they were always so pretty and will be a remembrance of her. "
