Madison - Joyce Ellen (Walker) Wentorf age 74, passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, October 27, 2012, at UW Hospital in Madison. Joyce was born on September 19, 1938 on the family farm in Norwak, WI, the daughter of Warren and Emma (Trachsel) Walker. She was a 1956 graduate of Sparta High School. Upon graduation, Joyce moved to Madison to work in the pharmacy at Madison General Hospital. On December 8, 1961, Joyce married her one true love, Roger Wentorf, formerly of Two Rivers. She then dedicated her days to raising their two children, Brenda and Karl. She had a great passion for crafts, especially sewing and needle work, and baking for family and friends.
She is survived by her children; Brenda of Madison and Karl (Taylor Kelley) of Chicago, IL; a sister, Jeanne Baumbach of Sparta and many nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister, Jeannette Corder.
A memorial service will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wisconsin Dialysis, Care of Joyce Wentorf Memorial, 3034 Fish Hatchery Road, Fitchburg, WI 53713.
