"I was invited by my girl friend Cindy to meet her parents in summer of 1979. It was a beautiful day To begin with, it got much better when I met Sanford Duea whom became my father in-law and my best friend later on. We click from the beginning because we both had a lots in common in our thoughts, working, and fixing his farm equipments were passion to both of us. I can write a book about Sanford's kindness, helpfulness, sharing, honesty and having a best personality you can ask to see in a person. I do not know if I ever love anyone as much as love my father Sanford. He is gone but all good memories from him are kept in my heart to enjoy with the rest of my life. "

"Spent my High school summers on Uncle Sandy and Aunt Neva's farm. The old windmill had the best cold water from the pump. Sun sets were the best. Uncle Sandy let my brother and I drive the truck and tractors. He was a lot of fun to be with and always had positive things to say about life."

"Sending love your way as you celebrate Sanford's life and walk with God in this time of "new beginnings." Sanford inspired us by his love for family, enthusiasm for life, energy for hard work and for his faith. Cousin Helen Peterson wanted us to be sure to greet you all on her behalf as she will be unable to attend services there. She recalled many good childhood times with him on the farm. Cousin Don Stout asked us, also, to share his condolences. We are thankful to have been blessed by Sanford's life and example. Love, Robert and Janice in NC "

"I have very special memories of my Uncle Sandy. When I was growing up, we would visit his farm. He let us play with all the kittens and then he would take all of us to see the baby pigs. He made everything fun...he even made a game out of walking beans. He would treat all of us to pizza and ice cream. He had a smile that sparkled and kind words. He always put his faith and family first. I admire him. I will treasure my memories of my Uncle Sandy always."
