Ina Betty (Patrick) Barker
September 9, 1924 - November 14, 2012

Ina Betty (Patrick) Barker, received her Heavenly reward on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at 4:44p.m. at Hospice of Butler/Warren County in Middletown, OHio. Born to Roy and Miria (Akers) Patrick on September 9, 1924 in Lee City, Wolfe County, Kentucky. She was the only daughter of seven children. Ina married Marion Richmond Barker on November 1, 1943 in Cincinnati, Ohio. They had eight children. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Marion in 1995. Also preceding her in death were two children, infant daughter, Margie and son, Merle Barker of Middletown, Ohio. Her parents, Roy and Miria Patrick, two sons-in-law, Elroy Warmoth and James Collins and brothers, Steve, Boyd, Loyd, and Elbert Patrick. She is survived by daughter, Shirley Warmoth and granddaughter, Janice (James) Pennington of Springboro, OH., daughter, Pauline Collins of Dayton, OH, granddaughter, Cynthia Collins of Springboro, OH, great granddaughter, Jennifer (David) Millar and great granddaughter, Mackenzie Millar, all of Miamisburg, OH; granddaughter, Cheri (Anthony) Young, great grandson, Ryan Young, and great granddaughter, Ashley Young, great grandson, Carson Young, grandson Reverend James (Cathy) Collins, great grandsons, Conner and Noah Collins; granddaughter Shannon (James) Alexander, great grandsons, Christian and Jonathan Alexander, all of Franklin; granddaughter Rachel Barker, great granddaughters Laney and Amanda Foster, and grandson, John Barker, children of deceased son, Merle; daughter, Janice (Thomas) Hazlett, granddaughter, Heidi (Kurt) Siens, great grandsons, Kyle and Blake Fella; granddaughter, Heather (Jason) Faulkner and great granddaughters, MacKenzie and Olivia Faulkner, all of Franklin, OH; son, Harold Barker, granddaughter, Kristin (Andrew) Dye and great grandson, Landon Dye all of Franklin, OH; granddaughter, Kimberly (Sean) Daly of Centerville, OH; daughter, Kathy (David) McKinney, grandson, Michael McKinney, great grandson, Zachary McKinney, grandson, Matthew (Sarah) McKinney, great granddaugher, Malia McKinney, and great grandson Owen McKinney, all of Franklin, OH; daughter Peggy Thomason, with whom she lived the past five years, granddaughter, Megan (Roscoe) Anthony, great granddaughter, Madison Anthony and great grandson, Hunter Anthony all of Franklin, OH; granddaughter, Morgan Thomason and fiance Rick Mellen of West Chester, OH; brothers, James and Donald (Linda) Patrick, of Newport, KY. Mrs. Barker was a wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved her family dearly. She was a strong independent woman with a strong faith in God. She read her Bible daily and often quoted her favorite verse of passage, Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. (Exodus 20:12. She enjoyed listening to Dr. Charles Stanley and Joel Osteen. Mrs. Barker was also and avid fan of TV wrestling programs. Through her life she spent many days gardeening, canning, and cooking for her husband and children. She was infamous for her cornbread and biscuits which many of her daughters and granddaughters have fond memories of learning her secret to this trade. She lived a long fulfilled life and touched many along the way with her love, determination, and strong will. Her service will be held on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 1pm at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. 2nd St Franklin, OH. She will be laid to rest at Woodhill Cemetery in Franklin. Officiating will be her grandson, Rev. James Collins of Covenant Christian Cenetr. The family would like to thank the nurses, staff and management of Hospice of Butler/Warren Counties, Hospice of Dayton Home Health, and Homefront Nursing. Also, Doctor Joseph Garland, all for the kind and compassinate care. Flowers may be received at Anderson Funeral Home, Franklin, OH.
