Stanley "Stan" Hellenbrand, age 62, of Middleton passed on Friday Nov. 30, 2012 at his home of multiple myeloma cancer with his family by his side. He was born in Middleton on Sept. 10, 1950 to Sylvester and Violet (Burton) Hellenbrand. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1972 and was very proud of his service. He married Cathy (Statz) on March 9, 1974 and built his home on the family farm while working at Madison Kipp (34 plus years of service). He also worked part time for many years with a janitorial services and prior to his illness he was employed part time at VA Hospital in Madison. Stan enjoyed watching Nascar racing on weekends and had attended several races over the years. He also enjoyed gambling with his sisters and friends in Vegas, Tunica, Reno and Laughlin and, most importantly he loved fishing in Canada with his good friends.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy; children Bonnie (Bing Albrent) of Mount Horeb, Bobby of Middleton and Bryan (Erin Evans) of DeForest; three grandchildren, Zachary, Connor, and Mason; brothers and sisters Richard, Ruth (Dahl), Dianne, and Roger; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; several aunts and uncles, including his Uncle Pope who lived next door for many years.

Stan "the man" was always a "go to" person, not only in the work place, but also if someone needed something done. He never refused helping anyone, regardless if he was busy himself or not, he was there for you.
