Chuck Clyde Woodland, age 88, of Albia died on Thursday December 6, 2012 at his residence under the care of Monroe County Hospice. He was born on June 9, 1923 to Johnson and Anna Bell (Davis) Woodland.

He married Lela Cooper on April 13, 1942 in Unionville, MO. Chuck was a Maintainer for the state of Iowa. Lela precedes Chuck in death. He was a member of the Cornerstone Community Church in Albia. He enjoyed watching sports on tv, doing yard work for himself and his neighbors, and especially visiting with family, friends, and his church family.

He is survived by his sister Viola Allison of Albia, nephews, Gary (Carol) Allison of Monmouth, IL, Daryl (Kay) Allison of Marshalltown, and great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, sisters, Doretta Clair, Myrtle DeVore, and nephew, Jack Wellman.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Sinnott Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Albia with Pastor Vince Belt officiating. A Funeral Luncheon will follow services at the Cornerstone Community Church. Chuck's family will be present from 10-11 am Saturday at the funeral home to greet friends before services.
