Wallace Harvey Griffin

Wallace Harvey Griffin, age 77, passed away Monday December 10, 2012 at the VA Hospital in Madison. Wally was born in Paterson, New Jersey to Leonard Griffin and Laura Andrick.
Wally worked loyally at Kayser Ford in Madison for over 30 years. He served in the US Air Force and the Air National Guard and was honorably discharged.
Wally enjoyed trains, models, computers, and his favorite Christmas tradition, his wife's homemade pizza and fudge. He enjoyed chocolate ice cream and had a large sweet tooth.
He loved to go camping with his family, until him and his wife Bea gave it up for health reasons. He was a pet lover, especially dogs. And he joins 4 of his canine companions, Buster, Missy, Puppet and most recently Nikki, his beloved toy poodle.
Wally is survived by his children Wallace H.(Lisa) Griffin, Jr., of Madison, Judith A. Griffin of Stoughton, Elonda B (Travis) Montanye of Madison, and Matthew J. Hankel of Madison; grandchildren Sabrina and Katy Griffin, Jennifer, Alicia and Aiden Montanye and Lamont Topper-Montanye.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Beatrice Lorayne Griffin of almost 22 years, grandson Ethan Vernon Montanye, brother Donald Griffin and his former wife Myrtle (Smith) Griffin, mother of his two children.
Services will be held Friday, Dec. 14th at 12 noon at Cress Funeral Home, 3325 E. Washington Ave., Madison. A visitation will be held prior to services starting at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens with Military Rites.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the VA CLC Hospital, 2500 Overlook Terrace, Madison, WI 53705
