Ethel Alzina Bregar, age 67, of Knoxville, formerly of Bussey died on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. She was born on October 22, 1945 in Albia to Earl and Helen (Kellogg) Yates.
Ethel married Ronald Joe Bregar on February 16, 1963 in the Bussey United Methodist Church. They were blessed with six children: Judy, Jackie, Jamie, Rick, Jody, and Jenny. Her world revolved around her family. She especially enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Joe of Knoxville, children, Judy (Steve) Routh of Knoxville, Jackie Fee-Porter (Bill) of Des Moines, Jami Bregar of Des Moines, Rick Bregar of Des Moines, Jody (Fred) Evans of Richmond, OH, Jenny (Kelly) Bonnett of Bussey, eighteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and she was waiting for three more to arrive. She is also survived by siblings, Evelyn Rockwell of Des Moines, Bonnie Jones of Ottumwa, Beverly Bosteder of Des Moines,Richard Yates of Chicago, and mother-in-law, Nellie Bregar of Bussey. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Buck Yates, Art Yates, Don Yates, Ray Yates, Chuck Yates, Betty Nabity, Bertha McCombs, father-in-law, Albert Bregar, and son-in-law, Roger Fee.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Sinnott Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Lovilia with Jeff Comstock officiating. Ethel will be cremated following funeral services. Visitation will be Friday, December 14, 2012, opening to the public at 1:00 pm and the family will be present from 6-8 pm Friday evening.
