Patricia Ann Daft
January 17, 1935 - December 21, 2012

Patricia A. Daft, age 77 of Prairie City, died Friday, December 21, 2012, at Skiff Hospice in Newton. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 24, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colfax, with burial following at Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City. Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 23, 2012 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Jasper County or the Colfax Historical Society. The daughter of Vincent and Margaret (Markey) Tomlonovic, Pat was born on January 17, 1935, in Des Moines, Iowa. Pat graduated from Colfax High School in 1953. On May 1, 1955, she was united in marriage to Stanley Price Daft. Following high school, Pat went to work at Equitable Life. She also worked at Charlie's Drive Inn as a book keeper and in admission at DMACC. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Altar & Rosary Society and the Colfax Historical Society. She was also a member of the Colfax PTA, Colfax High School Band Booster while her children were in School, and also a 4-H leader for several years. Pat enjoyed sewing, was an avid reader and enjoyed going to her kids and grandkids school activities.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Stanley; her six children, Larry (Charlet) Daft, Bill (Jan) Daft, Kathy (Dave) Wolf, Cindy (Lee) Dittmer, David (Missy) Daft, and Christy (Todd) Damon; 20 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Sharon (Bill) Padgett, Sister Kathleen Tomlonovic, Grace (Duane) Brown, Betty Cronin, Vince (Pam) Tomlonovic, Susan (John) Heggen, Nancy (Steve) Thornton, Jodi Tomlonovic, Jim (Mardell) Tomlonovic, and Judy (Tom) Herold as well as several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents.
