Johnny Ray Alvis, 41, of Montrose died on December 21, 2012 as the result of an automobile accident.
He was born on May 31, 1971 in Keokuk a son to Kenneth & Susan Seyb Alvis. Johnny married Brier Gregg on January 28, 1991 in Wichita, Kansas. She survives.
In addition to his wife, Johnny is survived by his children: Johnathan, Sean, Harley, Elizabeth and Hannah all of Montrose; his mother, Susan of Keokuk, IA; his father, Kenneth (Ann) Alvis of Wichita, KS; seven brothers and sisters: Lilly (David) Jones, Kenneth Alvis, Carl Washburn, and Christopher Washburn all of Keokuk, Amanda Dillie, Mary Actherson, and Jessica (Anthony) Yell all of Wichita; father-in-law and mother-in-law Anthony and Elizabeth Gregg of Wichita, Kansas; brother-in-law Scott Gregg and sister-in-law Dawn Fowler both of Wichita. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Johnny was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth and Virgie Alvis
Johnny enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, and spending time with his family.
Cremation will take place and there will be a memorial service at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Brier Alvis and family.
