Elaine M. Schultz, 89, of Martinsburg, NE passed away at the Elms Health Care Center in Ponca, NE on Friday, January 4, 2013.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Martinsburg, NE with Rev. Dr. Klaus Raab officiating. Visitation will begin at noon, prior to the service. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery in Martinsburg. Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M., with the family present at 6:00 P.M. and a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, January 7, 2013 at the Mohr Funeral Home in Ponca, NE. Elaine was born on October 18, 1923, the daughter of William and Florence (Hildebrand) Schultz. She grew up in the Martinsburg area. She graduated from Ponca High School. Elaine married Archie Schultz on April 25, 1943 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Martinsburg, NE. The couple farmed west of Martinsburg until they moved to the Elms Health Care Center in 2008. They were married for sixty-six years when Archie passed away in October, 2009.

Elaine worked at the Elms Health Care Center in Ponca for twenty-six years. She also worked as an election board worker for many years. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Martinsburg.

She enjoyed cooking for and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her sons, Alan (Mary Jane) of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Jim (Debbie) of Livonia, Michigan and Craig (Diane) of Houston, Texas; daughter, Rhonda (Loren) Reuter of Allen, Nebraska; grandchildren, Mark (Janelle) Schultz of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Jarod (Dawn) Schultz of Denver, Colorado, Eric Schultz of Livonia, Michigan, Marty (Kari) Schultz of Trophy Club, Texas and Jason (Kristin) Reuter of Martinsburg, Nebraska; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Kortany, Noah, Coty, Cortney, Hannah and Jessica; great-great grandson, Bradley; and one sister, Jeanett Scroggin of Rockwell City, IA.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, William and Florence Schultz; husband, Archie Schultz; grandson, Brian Schultz; brother and sister-in-law, John and Mary Lou Schultz; and brother-in-law, Ronald Scroggin.
