Heather wrote on Jan 18, 2013:

"Over 16 years ago, you welcomed me into your family with open arms. I have many memories of us shopping (you were always so good at finding the best deals!), spending time at the beach, talking about different recipes (from your hundreds of cookbooks) or listening to you reminisce about your family and friends and all of the great places that you have lived and traveled. I remember many of those stories and I will pass them on to the girls. I appreciate the help you gave when I went back to work after each girl was born. I was comforted in knowing that they were being taken care of by someone that loved them very much. Each day you would give me a recap of what they did and took pictures if something extra special happened. I think Taylor and Bryn each carry a special part of you with them because of the time they spent with you. There are many things I could thank you for but the one I am most thankful for is the son that you raised and I married. Ten months ago, I saw another side of Dane--one that was a reflection of the love that he felt for you. Seeing that side of him has made me love him even more. You will be loved and missed by many. Love, Your daughter in law Heather"

Taylor wrote on Jan 17, 2013:

"My grandma was one of the most sweetest people you would ever meet. She had a way with her words that made everyone feel special. There are time when i look back on telling her a story that happened and think why the heck did she ever even listen to this ridiculous story. It was because she loved me. I remember we would sit for hours in the kitchen looking through magazines that she had millions of and wanting to buy everything. She took me to get my first mani and pedi and many after. it became our "thing". Shes the type of grandma that wants to know everything that is going on in our lives. From as far back as i can remember she ALWAYS asked me about boys. constantly. She was always very opening to my friends and made them feel like one of her own grandchildren especially my best friend lauren. Not only did my grandma think of her as a grandchild but she considered her a grandmother. i cannot even express how much im going to miss seeing her and just being able to say i love you to her face to face. even though shes not here just around the corner she will ALWAYS be my grandma i love you sososososo much "love you to the moon and back" X100000"
