" Please allow me to extend my deepest sympathy during this difficult time to your family. I know the pain of losing a someone close. The scriptures have really helped me and I wanted to share some with your family. Like, in knowing that Jehovah God loves us, he is near to those that are broken at heart and those that are crushed in spirit he saves - Psalms 34:18; Psalms 83:18. One day soon, "no resident will say: I am sick" - Isaiah 33:24. John 5:28,29 gives hope of a future resurrection and Revelation 21:3,4 speaks of a time when death, mourning, or pain will be no more. Jesus at John 11:11 said to his disciples, "Lazarus our friend has gone to rest, but I am journeying there to awaken him from sleep." We can have faith in these promises. I had also personally wondered why God has temporarily allowed the suffering and death that surrounds us. I found the answers in the bible. It can bring much comfort to know the answers. If you don't have a copy of the bible you can find an online bible and other comforting information at www.jw.org. Keeping you in my prayers. Shellye --- Chefshellye@juno.com"
"So sorry to hear about your loss. Christie was one of my orientation club leaders my freshman year at Concordia. Although we didn't stay in touch much after that year, she was always a friendly smile around campus and I will always remember the club ice cream party at the little house on 8th street. "

"My family and I are sending loving thoughts your way. I have been thinking about the moments that CJ, Lauren and the other girls and I shared during our internship. Our laugh attacks, walking around the lake, playing in the water/sun bathing on the dock while the ice melted away in April, teaching our 3rd group together, snowball fights and so many other moments....Chrisite was a magical light in this world and I am so grateful that we got to share a part of our life together. Through her wonderful husband Jason, all of her beautiful family and her little girl Hannah---May Her Light Continue to Flow Through Us All. "

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the Brinks and Engelmanns. I first met Christie at the Tjadens in Forest Lake as a young ambitious high schooler. A friend of Allie's I didn't realize that a few years later I would be helping the girls move in to the dorms at Concordia. A beautiful smile and a great role model for her peers, Christie was a girl who stood out in the crowd. I'm so happy that my sister in law was blessed to have such a wonderful friend. She will be greatly missed."
