"I met Edna and Herschel a number of years ago when they were attending Faith Community Church in Maquoketa. You could not have met a nicer couple with strong religious beliefs. When Edna entered Wheatland Manor I was working there at the time. She didn't remember me, but seemed very happy to be there and have others help her. Her main concern was seeing Herschel again. I know they are having a long visit now, since they are reunited. God bless them both. I send my deepest condolences to their family."
"I remember Edna so fondly. I knew both her and Herschel for years when I worked for Scenic Valley AAA/Jackson County Senior Center. They both lived up the street from me also. After she went to Wheatland I had lost contact with her. Very recently my own father-in-law was there in Wheatland and I saw Edna again. She held my hand and she talked about how she wanted to find Herschel. Now she has....they are together once again. I am so glad that I had another opportunity to connect with her once more. My sincerest condolences to all her family and loved ones. She was a strong minded woman with a heart full of love. She will be missed!"
