Leona Haglund, 73, of Williams, died Friday, February 8, 2013 at her home. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Faith United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the church.
Leona Darlene Flowers, daughter of William and Gladys (Williams) Flowers, was born January 21, 1940 at Fort Dodge. She attended Fort Dodge schools, graduating in 1959. On July 3, 1963, she married Charles E. Haglund in Fort Dodge. The couple resided in Webster City. She worked for many years as a cook for the County Home. She also worked at Crestview and W.C. Custom Meats, until her retirement.
Leona is survived by her husband of 49 years; sons, Jon Haglund of Williams, Mark (Denise) Haglund of Webster City; three granddaughters, Janelle, Melissa, Callie; eight great-grandchildren and brother, Mervin (JoAnn) Flowers of Fort Dodge.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandmother, Ada Flowers.
She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church.
