In loving memory of

William Berman
February 14, 2013

William Arn Berman, 77 passed away Thursday, February 14th, 2013 at Valley Presbyterian Hospital. Better known to those who loved and knew him as Bill. In 1956, Bill married the love of his life, Rochelle "Shelley" who survives him. Also surviving are his children: Jodi Schwartz and husband Marc; Jill Neumen and husband Russell; Brad Berman; and John Berman and wife Eileen. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren who lovingly referred to him as Papa: Heather, Richard, Stephanie, Bryan, Madison, Samantha, and Sara. He will also be missed by his two sisters Anne and Norma, as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins and countless friends that he considered family.

Bill was a longtime resident of both Encino and Solvang (and sometimes Laguna and Palm Springs). He worked in Los Angeles from the age of 18, where he began of life of entrepreneurship, starting his own successful business. In his later years, he committed those same energies to the Shriners' Hospital for Children, which he always considered one of life's greatest philanthropies. Bill was always hard at work, whether he was selling dresses, taking burger orders, singing cowboy songs, giving tours of his Western Wear Museum, or all of that at the same time.

He was proud to determine his own values, happy to live a life according to those values, and always ready to share everything he had with those whom he loved.

Services will be held Sunday, February 17th, 2013 at 10am at Mount Sinai Memorial Parks and Mortuaries 5950 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90068 (800) 600-0076. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners' Hospital for Children at www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org.

Happy Trails, Bill. We love and will miss you.
