Frank Rager Jr., of Jackson, NE passed away, while surrounded by his family at his residence on Monday, February 18, 2013. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Jackson with Father Paul Albenesius officiating. Burial with military rites will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in South Sioux City, NE. Visitation with the family present will begin at 5:00 P.M. on Friday, February 22, 2013, with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the church. Frank was born December 18, 1944 in Walthill, NE, the son of Frank and Ida Mae (Case) Rager. He attended school in Winnebago and Emerson. He was a member of the United States Army, stationed in Korea and France. Frank married Judy Beacom on May 25, 1968 in Waterbury, NE. Frank worked at John Morrell for many years before retiring. He is survived by his wife, Judy; son Dan (Nicki); 3 daughters, Tina (Dennis) Rickett, Kerri Irwin and Michelle Rager; grandchildren, Bryson and Brenden Irwin, Dillon, Alex and Shelby Rickett; a brother, Tom (Janet); sisters, Janet Lutjen, Betty Jane Richards, Mary (William) Magnuson, Emmy (Ervin) Peters; and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. He is preceded in death by his son, Michael; grandson, Nathan Irwin; brother, Bob; sisters, Bessie and Wanda Jean; and his parents.
