Clifford F Stone

Clifford (Pete) Stone Jr., 83, died Sunday, February 17, 2013 at a local nursing home. He was born July 24, 1929 to the late Clifford and Florence (Jagodziniski) Stone in Green Bay. On July 9, 1960, Pete married Germaine Hetzler at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on June 1, 2007. Pete was employed at Fairmont Kemp Foods and later retired. He was an avid bowler, pitched horseshoes and played dartball. Pete had been a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He was a longtime Packers season ticket holder and he and Germaine enjoyed their many trips to Branson. Pete had an incredible ability to do math and numbers in his head. He never forgot a name or face once he met you. He could tell you things that happened decades ago with precise detail. Pete is survived by two sisters, Germaine Stone and Sharon Berceau; nieces, Lynn Staszak, Barbara Glinski, Dianne Van Egeren, Julie Vickman, Cyndy Pierquet, Linda VanPay, Judy Devetter, Mary Beyer, Andrea Shebuski, Sarah Paladino, Betsy Wiberg, Marlee Smits, Sue VanEss; nephews, John Renard, Kenneth Staszak, Gary Staszak, Jeff Stone, Paul Berceau, Greg Berceau, Scott Blaney, Tim Blaney and Mike Stone. as preceded in death by his wife Germaine; brother, Marvin; sisters, Delores Beyer and Sandy Blaney. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 22, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1224 12th Avenue, from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with the Rev Don Everts officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. A heartfelt thanks to special cousins, Carol and Mary Jo who visited with Pete on a consistent regular basis, times he enjoyed thoroughly and a special thanks to Woodside Lutheran Nursing Home and to Unity Hospice.
