time member of the American Lutheran Church in Windom. She also belonged to the birthday club and neighborhood extension club. Bertha will be remembered for how she enjoyed life to the fullest, her enjoyment of visiting Idaho, her giving of time to others, crocheting pot holders, afghans for her grandchildren and baby blankets for each of her great-grandchildren, her time spent visiting with friends at McDonald's, Hardee's and the Senior Center and most of all, her time spent with family. Bertha is survived by her three children, Floyd Westerman (Judy) of Jeffers; Jim Westerman (Mary) of Storden; Karen Gempler (Steve) of Meridian, ID; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Westerman of Jeffers; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents , husbands, Lester Westerman, Clarence Gerdes and Lloyd Mix; one son, Ed Westerman; two brothers, Raymond and Elmer Lamaack; three sisters, Lillian Schuknecht, Glennie Rupp and Grace Stoever.
