HELEN DUSENBERRY MUSCATINE, Iowa - Helen V. Dusenberry, 102, of Muscatine, died on Thursday, February 21, 2013, at Lutheran Homes. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 25, 2013, at Zion Lutheran Church. Reverend Steven Cauley, Associate Cheryl Hollich, and Chaplain Vicki Pedersen will officiate. Casket bearers will be Steve Hansen, Doug Dusenberry, DeWayne Dusenberry, Denise Davis, LuAnn Hansen, and Tracy Tietge. Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 25, 2013, at the church. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Helen was born on September 2, 1910, in Muscatine, the daughter of J.W. and Nellie Auls Henning. She married Oscar Dusenberry on August 4, 1934, in Muscatine. He preceded her in death in 1978. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Church Circle, AARP, the Lady Elks and the Women of the Moose. She was known for her cooking and baking and playing cards.
