He was greeted on the Rainbow Bridge by his favorites: "Judge", "Jiggs", "Te", "Frosty and "Blue". Larry Kayser, 67, of Webster City, died Monday, July 27, 2009 at his home. He requested a Celebration of Life be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2009 at the Links Club House at Webster City. Following cremation, a private burial of the ashes will be held at a later date. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Lawrence Richard Kayser, Jr., son of Lawrence and Deloris Spangler Kayser, was born January 8, 1942. He attended Webster City schools, graduating from Lincoln High in 1960. He then attended Drake University. He graduated from the University of South Dakota Law School. Larry was admitted to the Iowa Bar and had practiced law in Webster City since June of 1968. On March 11,1974, he married Nancy Eich at Aspen, Colorado. The couple resided at Webster City. He was a member of the Webster City Links (formerly Webster City Country Club), Hamilton County Bar Association, Iowa State Bar Association, board member of the Webster City Community School Foundation, Hamilton County Saddle Club, United States Golf Association, past president of the Webster City Country Club and past president of the Chamber of Commerce. He was a former member of the Iowa Quarter Horse Association, American Quarter Horse Association, National Snaffle Bit Association and National Reining Horse Association. He exhibited Quarter horses on a state and national level. He also was owner of A Real Te -- a quarter horse stallion. Larry also participated in semi-pro hockey, Enduro motorcycle racing, snowskiing, racing Hobie Cat sailboats, jumping his quarter horse gelding, "Judge", was a avid golfer and enjoyed the Boone River. He was a strong supporter of the University of Northern Iowa and Missouri State University girls golf teams. At the Links, causal attire was strongly encouraged by Larry.
