Mrs. Virginia Jacocks was born April 20, 1937, in Chambers County, Alabama to the Late Helen Truitt and Edward Carlisle. She was the granddaughter of the Late Brother Joe Truitt, who provided service in the building of the first Mount Hermon Baptist Church. She attended school in the Chambers County School District. She joined the Mount Hermon Baptist Church at an early age and was a member of the Usher Board. Her life was filled with much love and happiness.
Virginia departed this life on August 17, 2009 at Lanier Memorial Hospital, Valley, Alabama.
Virginia has left a wealth of wonderful memories that will always be cherished by everyone who knew her. She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Marilyn Ashley of Lanett, Alabama; one son, Kenneth (Josephine) Williams, Roanoke, Virginia; one sister, Barbara Alford (Lucius) Boyce, Atlanta, Georgia; two sister-in-laws, Clattie Thompson and Rosaline Jacocks, Elizabeth City, North Carolina; eleven grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
