Passed away peacefully August 12, 2009, at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Agnes "Aggie" (nee Hoffman), for 52 years. Loving dad of Gerald (Linda) and Sandra (Ken Meyer). Proud grandpa of Sara, Katie, Daniel, Joseph, Holly and Krista. Dear brother of Dee (the late Howdie) Gossen, Gordy (Phyllis), Jim (Geri), Ruth (Lloyd) Ress, the late Dennis (Carol), Gloria (the late Jim) Newmier, Anita (Elmer) Seehafer and Bonnie (Dave) Schultz. Preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Ethel (nee Kaetterhenry);brothers-in-law Howdie Gossen, Jim Newmier and John Snell; and nephew Douglas Knutson. Further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Dick retired from American Can Company after 35 years of dedicated service. Proud veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Dick was an avid bowler, golfer, pool-player and frequently spent time in Las Vegas with his wife and family.
