(Nee Powers) Of West Allis, Wisconsin, passed away, January 22, 2011, surrounded by her husband, children and loving sisters. Beloved wife of Joe for 55 years. Caring and devoted mother of Mary Ellen (Ted) Humpal, Peggy (Mark) Afable, Ray, and Kara (Todd) Doneff. Proud grandmother of Pat and Joe Humpal, Danny, Callie, Claire and Matthew Afable, Nick and Kayla Kane and Maria and Elizabeth Doneff. Dear sister of Mary Harris, Carole (John) Fox, Barb (Cliff) Kasdorf. Margaret is further survived by many special nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother Danny. Born August 23, 1932 to Ray and Bess Powers, Margaret was a life-long resident of West Allis. She graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1950 and Marquette University College of Business Administration in 1954. Margaret accomplished one of life's greatest achievements of being a wonderful wife and mother. She loved "Sundays," the boat, MU Basketball and the constant flow of people in and out of her home. Visitation Wednesday, January 26, at Krause Funeral Home, 4:00-8:00 PM, with prayer vigil at 7:30 PM and also Thursday at church, 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Margaret was baptized, attended school, married at St. Aloysius Parish and was proud to be a member. So it is fitting that memorials be made to St. Aloysius Church if so desired. The family would like to thank the wonderful staffs at St. Luke's Hospital and Oncology Alliance for their kind and compassionate care during this difficult time. A special thank you to neighbor Kathy Jackson and Dr. Robert Taylor. Thank you for showing all of us the true meaning of family and how to be hopeful and brave.
