William L. Semler, M.D.

Died unexpectedly on June 11, 2012, at the age of 89. Joined his loving wife Ellen (nee Poulsen) of 63 years. Loving father of David (Dr. Bonnie Behee) Semler, Karen (Michael) Joyce, and Barbara (Marko) Bosnjak. Proud grandfather of Zachary (Suzanne), Joshua, Aaron, Michael, Benjamin, Jacob, Jennifer, and Brianna. Great-grandfather of Emily, Eli, and Eugene. Beloved brother of Madlyn Dobschuetz. Uncle of Cheri, Susie, Kathy, and Terri. Also loved by other relatives, and friends.Bill and his wife, Ellen, were avid travelers and also belonged to two dance clubs. He was an active member of Bay Shore Lutheran Church and the Tuesday Men's Club. He was a lifetime member of Ozaukee Country Club. Bill served as medical director of SCCA for 50 years and as an OBGYN physician for 47 years. William was a veteran of the US Army and Air Force.Visitation at the Funeral Home, Monday, June 18, 10:00-11:45 AM. Service at Noon. Burial at Wisconsin Memorial Park on June 19.
