(Nee Szentes) passed away on Monday, July 2, 2012 during the early afternoon. She was born on October 22, 1941 and had been battling breast cancer for 22 years.Judy finished her elementary schooling at Phillips Elementary, graduated from Rufus King High School and completed 3 years of higher education at U.W. Milwaukee majoring in accounting. She met Gary (her husband) at a Kappa Fraternity party in the early spring of 1962. They dated for a little more than 14 months and were married on June 22, 1963. After their marriage, they were almost inseparable. Judy moved with Gary to Massachusetts where he completed his graduate work. Judy next moved to New Jersey where Gary taught at a state university for 33 years. Judy did accounting work for an accounting firm in New York City.Judy enjoyed their vacations in northern New England States during late summers. She became an avid skier and skied slopes in Vermont, New Hampshire, Colorado and New Mexico. Judy also enjoyed vacations to Montreal and Acapulco.Judy also accompanied Gary to Taiwan when he was invited there as a distinguished guest lecturer. pending time with Gary at the Jersey and Maryland Shores and visiting relatives and friends in Florida, Arizona, California, Kansas and, of course, Wisconsin.Judy and Gary retired in 2001 and it was Judy's desire to move back to Wisconsin where most of her relatives live. Judy and Gary were married 49 years on June 29th. The love that Judy and Gary shared for over 50 years was endless and unconditional.Judy is the beloved wife of Gary, loved daughter of Elizabeth and the late Elmer Szentes, sister of Elizabeth Garni and Richard Szentes and niece of Louis Szep. She is also loved by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Visitation will be at the Funeral Home Thursday July 5, 5:00-8:00 PM. An additional visitation will be at the Funeral Home Friday, July 6, 10:00-10:30 AM followed by a procession to Highland Memorial Park for a Committal Service at 11:00 AM.
