Began his journey home Friday, July 6, 2012, age 80. Beloved husband of Audrey (Nee Dembinski) for 51 years. Proud father of MaryBeth (Ron) Hess. Brother of Kay (Ed) Cieslik. Brother-in-law of Jackie (the late Lou) Leyton. Preceded in death by his brothers; Chuck and Don and his dear sister-in-law; Doris Dembinski. Also loved by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Visitation at ST. MARY CATHOLIC FAITH COMMUNITY, 9520 West Forest Home Avenue, Wednesday, July 11, 10:00-11:45 AM. Mass Of Christian Burial at Noon. Private entombment at St. Mary Cemetery at a later date.Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He joined the Milwaukee Police Department in 1954. As a Sergeant, he was seriously wounded in the line of duty in 1967. He returned to the Force and retired as a Captain in 1985. After his retirement, he taught Police Science at MATC for 10 years. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed gardening, traveling and most of all his "Casa" in the Adams Friendship area.
