CONNIE HERMANN MUSCATINE, Iowa - Connie V. Hermann, 84, of Muscatine, died on Thursday, February 28, 2013, at Lutheran Homes. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at the St. Mathias Church. The Reverend Jason Crossen will officiate. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at the church. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Connie was born on May 23, 1928, in Muscatine, the daughter of Martin and Estella Meyers Rubner. She married Ambrose Hermann on November 13, 1949, in Muscatine. She taught piano and organ music and at one time owned and operated The Music Mart on Second Street in Muscatine. She was a member of the Ss. Mary and Mathias Parish, Women of the Moose, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include a longtime friend, Richard McLaughlin of New York, New York. She was preceded in death by her parents.[more]
