ROMAN BLADZIK Mr. Roman Bladzik, of Lincoln Blvd. in Cedarburg, passed away at Cedar Springs in Cedarburg early Sunday morning, March 24, 2013. He was 83 years old. Roman was born in Milwaukee on August 10, 1929, son of John and Ann Bloegett Bladzik. Following his schooling, he proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. On March 17, 1953 he was united in marriage with Carol Hendricks in Chicago. Mr. Bladzik was a material handler at Caterpillar in Milwaukee, retiring in 1985 after more than 30 years on the job. Roman and Carol moved to South Carolina, then moved to Fredonia in 1998. They later moved to Cedarburg in 2007. Mr. Bladzik loved gardening and had flower and vegetable gardens wherever he lived. He especially loved tending his rose bushes. Roman also enjoyed animals of all kinds. He was a quiet, thoughtful man who enjoyed helping others. Mr. Bladzik is survived by his wife, Carol, of Cedarburg, and their four children: R.J (Susan) Bladzik of Anderson, SC, Randy (Rhonda) Bladzik of New Ulm, MN, Carla (Kendall) Thistle of Fredonia and Cheryl (Roger) Rodeghier of Sussex. Funeral Services will be held at 5 PM on Tuesday, March 26th at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave., Cedarburg. Rita Bert will preside.
