Karen B. Searles Karen Searles, of Port Washington, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013 at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton. She was 64 years old. Karen was born in Milwaukee on April 8, 1948, daughter of Edward Umland and Dorothy Knapp Umland. Karen attended school in the Milwaukee area, graduating from Milwaukee Washington High School in 1966. On October 11, 1975 she married Jim Searles at the Church of the Reformation in Milwaukee. The couple moved to the Port Washington area in the late 1970's to raise their family. Karen worked as a Customer Service Rep at Shopko in Grafton, retiring in July of 2011. She enjoyed reading, playing games and puzzles, watching game shows, traveling, and loved spending time with her family. Karen is survived by her husband Jim of Port Washington, three children: Melissa (Kevin) Grabowski of Pewaukee, Michelle (Michael) Draheim of Menasha and Christopher (Maricela Zamora) of Lake Villa, IL. She is further survived by her two grandchildren Dylan and Kayla Grabowski, other relatives and many friends. n Saturday, March 30th at 1 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave. in Port Washington with Rev. Jim Ahlquist officiating. Visitation will precede the services at the funeral home from 10 AM until 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to the National Kidney Foundation.
