David Michael Lund

David Michael Lund, 55 of Nevada died on Monday, April 1, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. A Celebration of Dave's Life will be held after 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 in the Twin Anchors Golf Clubhouse, 68030 U.S. Highway 30 in Colo. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date in the St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Nevada. Dave was born on May 22, 1957 in Buffalo, NY to Clarence Victor and Barbara Joy (Allaun) Lund Jr. He was a graduate of Nevada High School and attended DMACC Ag Business Program. On December 4, 1987, Dave married Julie A. Leon in Nevada. He was employed as a location manager for Key Cooperative. Dave enjoyed golfing, fishing, and having fun. Dave is survived by his wife Julie A. Lund; his mother Barbara Lund Cockshoot; a daughter Heather (Jimmy) Aldrich, all of Nevada; a son, Trafton (Tracey) Glenn of Colorado Springs, CO; his in-laws Bud and Marilyn Leon and Odessa Brorby, all of Bloomfield; three brothers, Bruce Cockshoot of the Quad Cities, Jamie Lund of Nevada, and Hugh (Mary) Cockshoot of Denver, CO; five sisters, Sue (Kendall) Upchurch of Zearing, Mary (Doug) Kriese of Alexandria, MN, Patty (Mike) Frese of Morehead City, NC...[more]

Ann (Jack) Dupilka and Ellen Cockshoot, all of Denver; four grandchildren Alexis, Laynee and Logan Hill and Cameron Glenn. David was preceded in death by his father Clarence Victor Lund, Jr. and grandparents Lund and Allaun. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in loving memory of Dave for Homeward Hospice of Ames. Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada has been entrusted with the care of Dave and his family.
