Warren Wilber Kemper
WAPELLO, Iowa - Warren Wilber Kemper, 74 of rural Wapello, died on Friday, April 5, 2013, at Great River Medical Center.
Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello. The Rev. Dan Doolin along with Dave Nelson, Dave Seick and Marvin Hardy, will officiate services. Burial will follow at the Wapello Cemetery with graveside Military Rites.
Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2013, at the funeral home. Family will meet with friends from 5 to 8 p.m.
Warren was born on September 1, 1938, to Oscar and Hilda Whitaker Kemper. He was a graduate of Wapello High School, class of 1956. Warren married Shirley Thomas on April 27, 1958, in Morning Sun.
He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1956-62.
A third-generation farmer, he was a Wapello United Methodist Church member; past director of Western Illinois Old Threshers Association and served as a Louisa County Supervisor.
