Elizabeth "Bettye" Gers

Elizabeth D. (nee Quinn) "Bettye" Age 90, of Ambler and formerly of Olney, died on April 6, 2013 at home with her family. Born in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Regina (nee Alles) Quinn. Mrs. Gers was a graduate of the Hallahan Catholic Girls High School Class of 1941. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Ambler; and a former member of St. Joseph's Church in Cheltenham where she was active in the Sodality and Senior's Groups. Bettye is the beloved wife of 68 years to Peter H. Gers. She was the devoted mother of Peter H. Gers, Jr. and his wife Mary Ann of Harleysville, Donna G. Turk and her husband Joseph of Elkins Park, Suzanne E. Miller and her husband Harry of Lansdale, Joseph A. Gers and his wife Alison of Ambler, and Thomas E. Gers and his wife Mary of San Antonio, TX. She was the loving Grandmother of 12 and Great Grandmother of 3. Bettye is also survived by her brother Bernard J. Quinn, Jr. and his late wife Lillian.
