amel corn, but more than anything, Norma loved family gatherings, surrounding herself with family and watching her children and grandchildren participate in all of their activities. Norma was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Orphan Train Society, Riverside Club and the Coachman Camper Club. Norma will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, sister and grandmother, and she will be truly missed by all that knew and loved her. On Friday, April 12, 2013, Norma passed away at the Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetsburg. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, David Hempstead. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Bob of Graettinger; five children: Barb (Marty) Currans of Emmetsburg, Tom (Kim) Sampson of Trimont, MN, Pam Musgrove of Hugoton, KS, Ron (Marie) Sampson of Ankeny, IA and Pat (Mark) Smith of Marshalltown; brother, Mark (Julie) Hempstead of Windom, MN; sister-in-law, Shirley (Allan) Stewart of Omaha, NE; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
